Art Tuition

  • Creative thinking is what we’re made of, it’s what we are, and in today’s world, it’s more importantly what will set us apart- from the machines, from competition, and from past versions of ourselves. Creative skills come from being free to play with ideas, methods and concepts in a relaxed, stimulating environment.

    I offer tailored art tuition for children and students (and adults too!), at home or online, and across a range of themes to meet each individual’s interests and aptitudes. I bring my holistic knowledge and pedagogy as a trained and qualified K-12 educator within mainstream and Waldorf settings to create a fun, dynamic and play-oriented approach to creative growth and development.

    Including ample time to practice, thought-challenging activities and a richly diverse range of artists to get inspired by, each session will awaken a spark in you or your child that will keep them engaged with art long after the lesson ends.

  • Sessions last an hour; or can be 1.5 hours for portfolio prep students.

    £50 by video session

    • In home lesson price depends on the student living within zones 1-3 of London and reasonably close to transport connections. For students in London zones 4-6, there may be an additional fee.

Art Workshops

  • As adults, we live in a world that has squeezed us dry and robbed us of our chance to play. Yet playful, relaxed minds are the most creative, and the most creative minds excel at what they do.

    Give yourself the gift of creative play by attending one of my drop-in workshops in London. We’ll focus on a skill or idea each time that may be brand new or familiar to you, but we’ll be approaching it in new and exciting ways, within a relaxed and friendly environment geared around play and practice more than rules and pressure to create in One Way of the Highway.

  • Adults who love creative play and art, and who want to practice their skills in a social, guided, and reflective way.

  • Each session may differ in length, so it’s best to check the schedule for each month’s offerings.

    Sketch club will be roughly an hour, and is the most relaxed workshop where you literally just sketch with like-minded creatives.

    Skill-based workshops or en-plein-air sessions may be 2-2.5 hours long.

    2-2.5 hour workshops: £40pp

    Half day workshops (3-3.5 hours): £50pp

    Full day workshops (6 hours): £70pp

Badge-earning Art Club

  • Do you want to really give yourself a chance to explore a new idea? To grow, and develop in creative ways you didn’t think were possible? To give yourself the gift of relaxing creative play in a noisy world that crowds out your thoughts?

    Then join the Happily Ever Drawn Art Club, where you’ll commit to a weekly artistic adventure, earning badges (because celebrating yourself and your achievements has no upper age limit!)

    Each week we’ll have an hour long workshop on an artistic skill or craft, a creative idea, an artist, or a place. I’ll introduce the Thing of the Week and you’ll have a chance to play with the idea of it, sketching, making, talking- or all three , for our session. Then you’ll have a weekly challenge to complete in your own time that will help you think creatively and journey along your own creative path as you work on an outcome at your own pace. As badge-earning art club members, I’m on the other end of a DM or a text if you need inspiration, advice or just to run an idea by me throughout the week. At the end of the week, you’ll have finished your art adventure, and at the start of the next session, we’ll review and celebrate, and you’ll earn real completion and merit badges.
